You can save and open documents to and from several mobile devices file formats.

Installing the Pocket PC filters under Windows will also install a DLL file that supports the synchronization software of your Pocket PC.

Installing the mobile device filters

1. Close Office and the Quickstarter.

2. If you are using the Windows operating system with ActiveSync installed, disconnect any Pocket PC device from ActiveSync.

3. Start the Office Setup program:
   Office のセットアップ用プログラムを起動します。(par_id3153061.11)

   Open the Windows Start button, choose Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs, select the Office entry, click Change.

4. In Setup, choose the Modify option and click Next.

5. Open the Optional Components entry, then open the Mobile Device Filters entry. Select the filters you want to install.

6. Click Next, Next, Install, Finish to install the filters and exit the Setup program.

Saving Office documents for a mobile device

1. Choose File - Save As.

2. Open the File type box and select the appropriate filter.

3. Enter a name and click Save.

1. Choose File - Open.

To convert Pocket PC formats to and from Office formats, you must first change some options within ActiveSync. To do this, open the ActiveSync window and open its Options dialog. Perform the following steps:
Pocket PC と Office との間でファイル形式の変換を行う場合、まず最初に ActiveSync の設定を変更しておく必要があります。この設定を行うには、ActiveSync を起動して、ダイアログ オプションを開きます。必要な設定を、下記の手順で指定します。(par_id3145272.24)

1. Select the Rules tab.

2. Click the Conversion Settings button.

4. Select Pocket Word Document - Pocket PC and click Edit.

5. In the drop down list of available conversions, select Office Writer and click OK.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for Pocket Excel Workbook selecting Office Calc.

After these steps you can copy documents between Office and your Pocket PC, either by the ActiveSync software or by the Windows Explorer. The filters will be applied to the document files automatically.
上記の設定が完了すると、ActiveSync ないし Windows Explorer を介してOffice と Pocket PC との間でドキュメントを相互にコピーできるようになります。必要なフィルタは、該当するドキュメントに対して自動的に適用されます。(par_id3148389.31)
